Weebly is another drag-and-drop editor that doesn’t quite have the same robust template options that Wix or Squarespace does, but still provides a decent selection. They do feature a live chat that comes in handy during the sometimes complicated site customization and/or publishing process.

While you may not have the same template selection as you might in Wix or Squarespace, you can still create a unique and captivating website or e-commerce store with Weebly. Squarespace is easy to customize and is extremely versatile in its design capabilities. Squarespace allows custom HTML, CSS, and Javascript! With our coding expertise, we can easily customize any template to fit your brand’s tone and voice. It also features a drag-and-drop editor that makes it easy to change or add content on the fly.

Squarespace also features a live chat support, but unfortunately their customer care representatives aren’t quite as knowledgeable as representatives from other sites like WordPress customer support. Despite any dissatisfaction with the support team, Cold Brew’s team loves making captivating web designs with the Squarespace editor.

WordPress is easily the most widely-utilized and profound CMS on the web. Approximately 30% of the web consists of WordPress websites. WordPress has the largest selection of templates and plugins available without a doubt. While some may be free, you will most likely end up paying for a template or plugin- and they vary in price.

WordPress has two options; You can purchase a hosting plan on wordpress.com, or you can host your own with wordpress.org. While wordpress.com isn’t the easiest hosting option for your wallet, it does come with some robust features and the best live chat support we’ve ever used.

If you want a third party host, wordpress.org gives you full control over your website and allows things like FTP uploading. WordPress is also great for scaling and adding e-commerce functionality to your site. Cold Brew also has extensive experience setting up WooCommerce for several online e-commerce retailers.

Shopify is the ultimate online and offline shopping experience. It keeps track of inventory whether you’re selling online or in a brick-and-mortar store. Shopify features an iPad app that allows you to sell and take payments in person. Shopify also has an easy-to-setup payment gateway and allows for several payment options such as PayPal.

Just like the other CMS options, Shopify allows the modification of HTML and CSS code for a completely custom shopping experience. Shopify may be the most expensive hosting option, with a larger percentage cut per transaction than WordPress or other e-commerce options, but it is much more user-friendly and intuitive.
